What are we looking for?
Due to our growth we are now looking for a Product Sales Specialist within Process Industry / Fluid Control. As a Product Sales Specialist you will be responsible for driving growth for the product portfolio through technical and commercial advisory, sales support, customer engagement, training, and packaging of offerings. You are acting as the bridge between product management, marketing and sales while ensuring the correct positioning, pricing, and value delivery to customers.
When you’re not out with the customers, you’ll be based at the SMC office in Espoo, Lahti or Pirkkala with the flexibility to work from home occasionally if that suits you.
Your responsibilities:
Work as the main contact for key accounts
Own and achieve sales targets
Identify and close deals with new and existing customers by defining target customers and developing strong relationships with the current client base
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure availability and market positioning.
Plan and execute local product launches
Train sales teams and distributors regarding your field of expertise
Collect customer feedback for product improvements and roadmap development
Monitor market trends and pricing
Recommend portfolio expansion based on data insights
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a person with at least five years of relevant experience in value-based B2B technical sales, and a strong background in the Process Industry sector. You can develop your current clients as well as have an eye to gain new markets. You have experience serving as the main point of contact for large industrial companies and can work fluently with Finnish and English.
You can work independently and take full ownership of their responsibilities. It comes easy from you to work with different kinds of people and you have a talent to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. With strong listening skills and consultative approach you understand customer needs and are able to provide the best possible solutions.
Beneficial is experience from working with process industry sector clients and knowledge of relevant product range to SMC.

Compensation follows a base salary combined with an annual possible bonus. On top of that you will have other nice to have perks offered by SMC Automation. The final salary negotiation will be taken between the selected candidate and SMC Automation Oy representatives.
