
Nammo’s Large Caliber Systems (LCS) Business Unit delivers weapon systems for artillery, tanks, mortar systems, and naval guns. In order to support the growth of the business, we are now looking for a Vice President, LCS Finland to lead Nammo’s Large Caliber Systems operations in Finland.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall business performance and strategic development of the LCS operations in Finland, including leading the sites in Vihtavuori, Sastamala, and Jyväskylä, with more than 150 employees. The role combines business leadership with operational oversight and plays a key part in supporting the strong growth of the LCS business both in Finland and internationally.
You will report to the EVP, Large Caliber Systems, and be an active member of the global LCS management team. The role includes travelling between Finnish sites as well as internationally.
What you will do
As Vice President, LCS Finland, you will be responsible for the overall performance, development, and leadership of the business unit operations in Finland.
Your key responsibilities include:
Ensuring profitable business performance, including full P&L responsibility for the LCS Finland operations
Leading and developing the Finnish operations in line with the overall LCS strategy and supporting the continuous growth of the business
Ensuring strong customer interaction and a customer-driven organization
Driving the strategic development of operations in Finland, including identifying and preparing future investment initiatives and capacity expansion that enable new business opportunities
Overseeing production, purchasing, and logistics performance together with the local management team to ensure reliable customer deliveries, high quality, and operational efficiency
Leading the local management team and ensuring strong alignment, collaboration, and leadership across the organization
Oversee contract negotiations and management, ensure successful delivery of products and services, and act as the escalation point for customer issues.
Promoting a strong HESS (Health, Environment, Safety, Security) culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and company standards
Contributing actively to the global LCS management team, supporting collaboration across Nammo’s international operations
You will also play a central part in major investment programs, production ramp-up and strategic development projects, ensuring that new capacity, technologies, and capabilities are successfully implemented and supporting the long-term development of the business unit.
Expectations for you
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
A strong background in industrial manufacturing environments and experience in leading large organizations through growth, operational development, and change
A proven track record in P&L responsibility, operational development, and leading managers across multiple functions
Experience in customer interaction and contract-related discussions
Solid financial skills related to manufacturing operations, including cost structures and investment planning
Experience working in complex manufacturing environments, where production, supply chain, and operational performance play a critical role in business success
Experience in investment programs, capacity expansion and scaling manufacturing operations
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and international teams
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering or another relevant field
Fluency in Finnish and English

Phase 1: Application period

Phase 2: Interviews with Nawia
Selected candidates will be invited to interviews with Nawia during April. All applicants will be informed about the progress of the process during April.
Phase 3: Interviews with Nammo
Shortlisted candidates will proceed to interview rounds with Nammo during April–May.
Phase 4: Assessments and reference checks
Final candidates will participate in leadership assessments and reference checks.
Phase 5: Decisions
The final selection decision will be made, followed by contract negotiations and agreement. A security clearance and a drug test will be conducted for the person selected for the position.
