Do you want to lead the transformation into a truly data-driven and AI-powered business—and build solutions that create real impact for thousands of customers?
We are now looking for a Data & AI Lead to take Amilis data and AI capabilities to the next level.
Visma Amili is a fast-growing fintech company helping over 6,300 customers manage cash flow, invoicing, and collections. As part of the Visma ecosystem, we serve 1.9 million customers across Europe.
Our solutions are embedded in the everyday operations of more than 100,000 Finnish SMEs, making us a critical part of their financial workflows.
At Amili, technology plays a central role in everything we do. Our Technology & Products team is responsible for building scalable, high-quality solutions that drive customer value and business growth. We combine deep customer insight with modern technology to continuously develop smarter, more efficient financial services.
Your role
As a Data & AI Lead, you will take ownership of Amili’s data and AI vision and turn it into tangible business impact. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify where data and AI can create the most value.
This is a role where strategy meets execution. You’ll define the direction, but also ensure that ideas turn into production grade solutions, not just experiments. From building scalable data platforms to driving AI-powered services, your work will shape how Amili leverages data across its products and operations.
What will you do?
Lead and grow a high-performing Data & AI team (data engineers, data scientists, AI specialists)
Define and execute our data and AI strategy and roadmap
Own the architecture, quality, and scalability of our data platforms
Drive AI initiatives from idea to production (Generative AI, agentic AI, intelligent automation)
Establish best practices in data governance, security, and responsible AI
Act as a bridge between business and technology, turning data into real impact
Build and manage key technology and AI partnerships
What we are looking for?
Ideally, you are experienced in leading technical teams and have a strong background in data engineering as well as AI/ML. You have a solid understanding of modern AI technologies such as LLMs, RAG, and agent-based systems, and you are comfortable working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
You are able to drive the end-to-end delivery of data and AI solutions from early ideation to production as well as you having good grasp of data governance and modern data practices. In addition, you bring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and you are fluent in English.
Our tech setting
You’ll be working in a modern tech environment where technology choices are guided by scalability, speed and sustainability. Our stack is built around Python and its ecosystem for backend, combined with cloud-native data platforms such as MongoDB. On frontend we leverage modern frameworks like React and Vue.
Integrations are powered with MuleSoft Anypoint, and we actively utilise AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and CodeRabbit to continuously improve productivity and quality. You’ll also operate in a real multi-cloud environment, using the best capabilities across GCP, Azure, and AWS. Through Visma’s group agreements, you’ll have access to a wide range of leading AI solutions and ecosystems, helping you stay at the forefront.
What we offer
What really makes this role unique is the opportunity to reshape an entire industry. At Amili, we’re not bound by legacy ways of working. We are actively building the next generation of financial and collection services from the ground up. There is a genuine ambition, from both leadership and the board, to rethink how things are done and to do it boldly.
Despite being part of Visma, Amili operates with a high degree of autonomy and an entrepreneurial mindset. Decision-making is fast, hierarchy is low, and ideas don’t get stuck in layers of approval. You’ll find a culture that is serious about what we do, but not overly formal about how we do it.
Our people reflect this. We have an exceptionally high employee satisfaction (eNPS 69) and strong wellbeing scores, showing that even in a fast-moving environment, people feel supported, heard, and motivated. Amili culture is open, collaborative, and community-driven colleagues regularly spend time together outside of work, from afterworks to team-organized activities.
At the same time, you benefit from the scale and support of the Visma network. This means real opportunities to collaborate across markets, shape Nordic-level initiatives, and grow your impact beyond a single organization.
Salary and benefits
Monthly salary range for this role is 5800–7200 €, depending on your experience and background.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports both your wellbeing and flexibility. This includes extensive occupational healthcare, Auntie mental health services, leisure time accident insurance, and work ability insurance, as well as flexible hybrid work and working hours. You’ll also receive lunch, flex, and commuting benefits via ePassi, along with a phone benefit. In addition you will also have access to Visma’s holiday apartments.
