We are looking for a new Head of Business Solutions to lead and develop our global business solutions and application services.

Head of Business Solutions

In this newly established role, you will take ownership of Vexve’s global business solutions and service management landscape. You will play a key role in ensuring that our solutions, services and operating models support business growth, operational efficiency and future development needs.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT Business Partners, service providers and the IT Management Team to align technology and business needs in a practical and scalable way.

What will you do?

In this role, you will:

• Own and develop the lifecycle of global business solutions and related services

• Drive solution governance, service management and continuous improvement

• Maintain and develop the business technology roadmap together with key stakeholders

• Lead development initiatives and coordinate collaboration between internal teams, key users and external partners

• Coordinate operational service activities such as change requests, support escalations and continuous improvement together with business stakeholders and service providers

• Ensure solutions support business needs while aligning with architecture, security and data privacy standards

• Ensure smooth day-to-day service operations and act as an escalation point between business users, key users and external service providers

• Support budgeting, reporting and service performance follow-up

• Act as a trusted partner between business and IT

What helps you succeed in this role?

You combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable coordinating operational service topics in a multi-vendor environment. You understand how business solutions, services and operating models support business goals, and you are comfortable working across both technical and business environments.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Previous experience in business solution management, IT service management or similar leadership roles

• Strong understanding of IT service management, governance and solution architecture

• Experience from ERP solution management environments, which is considered a significant advantage

• Experience working with suppliers, external partners and cross-functional stakeholders

• A structured, analytical and business-oriented mindset

• A pragmatic and collaborative way of working

• Experience with ITIL-based operational practices and understanding of Business Technology standard based operating models is seen as advantage

• Fluent Finnish and English skills, additional language skills in Czech, Danish or German are considered an advantage.

The role reports to Group CIO Pekka Paavonen and is part of the IT Management Team. The role includes responsibility for a small team (2–4 people) and occasional international travel. Our headquarter is in Sastamala but with our flexible hybrid working model you can also work remotely from elsewhere in Finland.
