Caring for our Furry Friends and their friends!
Best Friend Group Oy, a part of Nordic Pet Care Group A/S, is Scandinavia's market leader in the pet product industry with over 50 years of experience. Our core competence is to know what people's best friends need in all stages of their lives, and to offer them even better, safer and higher quality products. The wide product selection of Best Friend Group includes pet food and accessories. We export our products to the Nordic countries and to over 20 other countries outside the Nordic region.
All product development and testing takes place at our locations in Kuopio and Denmark, but we also have a subsidiary in Sweden and Hong Kong. Our main brands are e.g. Best Friend®, Hurtta® and Racinel®, and we also represent top international brands such as Flexi and our products are widely distributed in all Nordic countries.

Supply Chain Specialist (Kuopio)
In this role you will have an important role to work with the Nordic Pet Care Group’s entire supply chain in the Nordic countries. You will join a dedicated and motivated international team of 8 persons working both in Kuopio Finland (4 persons including you) and in Denmark (4 persons). The team is used to working together with great autonomy, down to earth atmosphere and freedom to develop our processes. As an important member of our Nordic team, you will contribute in developing our supply chain operations in the fast based FMCG business. Approximately 1/3 of your time, you will spend with operational call-off tasks with selected European and Asian suppliers. 2/3 of your time, you will spend with more tactic and development oriented tasks related to analyzing data, developing our supply chain models and processes and collaborating closely with colleagues across Scandinavian countries.
Supply Chain Specialist reports to the Group Supply Chain Manager Michael Kruse who lives in Denmark. Michael visits Kuopio once a month so he will not be physically present in Kuopio every week. The team is used to take initiative and responsibility over their own daily work but of course you have colleagues with whom you do a lot of cooperation. The leadership style Michael represents is pragmatic, humorous, and down-to-earth. The company has a very informal culture where hierarchy is minimal, and bold or even “crazy” ideas are encouraged.
Team members are trusted to take ownership of their work. Micromanagement is not part of the culture, leadership is based on regular one-on-one meetings and collaboration between the team members. Here is a link to Michael's LinkedIn profile if you want to take a look! Michael Kruse
