Being the key person in developing Gapps’ public sector presence
You’ll lead the way as Gapps continues expanding its footprint in the public sector. We’re a framework agreement supplier for municipalities and wellbeing counties through Istekki - already working with 19 municipalities and 15 wellbeing counties - and boast innovative clients like the City of Hamina, which collaborates with Google on groundbreaking initiatives.

What’s this role actually like?
As a Strategic Account Executive, you’ll take ownership of sales efforts for Google Workspace solutions in the public sector, fully owning the end-to-end process - from finding to closing deals.
Sales:
🎯 Manage a personal sales quota, focusing on public sector organizations, from municipalities to wellbeing counties.
🎯 Actively search for new opportunities through public tenders.
🎯 Build and grow your customer portfolio, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand revenue streams.
🎯 Take ownership of complex cases as the “sales project manager,” bringing the relevant resources together to define solutions and close deals.
Account management & business growth:
🌱 Lead strategic plans for client accounts to ensure long-term partnerships and drive portfolio growth.
🌱 Ensure client satisfaction while maximizing opportunities for revenue growth, particularly within Google Workspace and related products.
Cross-functional collaboration:
🤝Ensure a seamless handover of deals to delivery teams, guaranteeing compliance with legal and financial requirements.
🤝Work closely with Google representatives, as well as Marketing, Delivery, and Product teams within Gapps, ensuring success across all areas.

Our expectations towards you
You’re passionate about delivering results and building value-driven partnerships in the public sector. You thrive on challenges and are eager to grow accounts while leveraging best-in-class technology.
✅ Proven public sector expertise
You bring at least a few years’ experience in IT sales for the public sector and understand public tenders and procurement processes, with the ability to identify and seize new opportunities.
✅ Sales driver and builder
Owning the entire sales process energizes you—from prospecting to portfolio growth. You’re eager to drive €1M+ annual revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.
✅ Strategic account manager
You know how to think long-term, align client needs with organizational goals, and build holistic account management plans to foster sustainable partnerships.
✅ Collaborative Communicator
You’re fluent in Finnish for public sector client interactions and to handle the procurement processes, as well as proficient in English for internal company use, as well as international customer and partner interactions. You enjoy communicatting with people and are confident in negotiation and relationship building.
🌟 Nice-to-haves that will help you to a running start
Sales experience with SaaS, Google/Microsoft solutions, IT consultation services or end-user services. Fluency in Swedish for broader public sector opportunities.

💰 Competitive compensation and benefits
Annual on-target earnings: Between 80 000€ - 100 000€, with a base salary of 48 000€ - 60 000€, depending on your seniority and previous experience - we’re ready to talk money. Uncapped commission structure: The more deals you close, the more you earn. We also offer you a home office remote working station setup, extensive occupational health care, and the broadest available insurance services to protect you both at work and in your free time. 🏡 Flexible hybrid working
Our office is located in Kalasatama, Helsinki, but you have the flexibility to work wherever suits you best - whether it’s at the office, from home, or even at the end of the dock at your summer cottage. We’d still love to see you at our Helsinki office at least for the on-site days agreed within the team and joint Gapps activities and events!
