Sales director - responsibilities
In this role you are leading and improving the Finnish sales organisation and reporting directly to managing director Tobias Vikberg. Your primary responsibilities includes being a direct manager to four sales managers and developing/implementing strategic sales plans. You will be measured by sales growth, volume and pricing development. Please see more about your responsibilities below:
- Strategic Leadership: You have a full ownership of the Finnish sales organisation. You are a doer with courage to set ambitious targets. You are not afraid to speak out loud your ideas and being a part of implementing change. You will bring new kind of sales culture to Linde and with your sales leadership skills take the sales operations at Linde to a new level.
- Sales Optimization: You will drive revenue growth and long-term profitability by refining the sales channels, product portfolio, and customer offerings to strengthen market positioning. You set standards and example to the sales team and are genuinely interested what is happening at Linde's key clients and how the service can be improved.
- Customer Engagement and networking: This position is all about networking. You are building long term relationships with customers and key stakeholders internally and externally. With your outgoing reach you enhance business opportunities and make the team shine by your own example.
- Performance Monitoring and development: You will regularly track volume and price trends and seek for improvement opportunities. How can we show the value we bring and justify our prices without seeing arrogant? That is one of the key questions we are hoping you get excited to answer.
- Collaboration: With your direct team you are working closely with other internal stakeholders including: customer service organisation (located in Tallinn), product management, business development, pricing/analytics, engineering and operations. You will also be a part of the management core team of six leaders.

Who you are?

Experience
You have strong leadership experience from change management. You have experience from leading leaders or a strong desire to move towards this kind of leadership role. Industrial business where sales itself is repetitive is familiar to you and you have a very strong business acumen. Overall you have strong sales and commercial background with +10 years of experience combined with +5 years of leadership experience. Language wise we are looking for fluent English and Finnish.

Good to have and know
Previous experience from gas sector is not mandatory but considered as a plus. Work is done in Salesforce and SAP and we are looking for someone who has sufficient skills in using different kinds of systems. Language wise Swedish is considered a plus.

This position is located in Espoo and we are looking for a person who can lead by being present and showing an example. Therefore we expect you to be working from the office at least 4 days a week. In this role there will be some travelling (approximately 20 hotel nights a year/20.000 kilometers on the road).
Salary is based on your experience and the salary negotiations are held between the selected candidate and Linde. Estimated target earnings are discussed in the first phone discussions with Nawia.
