Decision making stays close to the business, responsibilities remain broad, and employees have the opportunity to influence processes, development, and growth as the company continues to evolve internationally.
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will act as the Financial Specialist responsible for Terraroc Finland’s finances as a whole. You will take full ownership of the local finance function and operate as the only finance professional on site in Ylöjärvi, working closely with both local management and international stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will cover end to end accounting and controlling, including month end and year end closing, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. You will ensure accurate financial data, support business decision making, and bring financial transparency to a fast moving and evolving organization.
The role requires a strong hands on approach. You will work close to the business, collaborate actively with sales and operations, and maintain regular interaction with the wider finance organization located mainly in Sweden and the UK. You will also work closely with the COO and, going forward, with the new Finance Manager joining the organization.
Your background?
You have a solid background in finance or accounting and feel confident taking hands on responsibility for accounting and controlling tasks. Your experience may come from an in house finance role or from an accounting firm environment. Both backgrounds suit this position, as long as you bring strong practical accounting skills and a readiness to take ownership.
We expect at least five years of relevant experience in similar roles. In addition to experience, we value attitude highly. A proactive, hands on mindset and a willingness to take responsibility matter as much as technical skills.
You have experience in month end closing and financial reporting, and you understand how financial data supports business decisions. Experience in forecasting and budgeting supports success in this role, and further onboarding will be provided where needed.
You work comfortably in a dynamic environment where priorities may change and where development and continuous improvement form part of daily work. Strong communication skills help you collaborate with both local colleagues and international stakeholders, and you feel confident working in English in a professional context.
You bring a structured way of working, strong numerical understanding, and a proactive mindset. You do not need to know everything in advance, but you show curiosity, responsibility, and a willingness to grow together with the organization.
Practical details and compensation
The role follows an office first working model. Daily work is primarily based on site in Ylöjärvi, as close collaboration with the local organization plays a key role in success. Remote work is possible occasionally when needed.
Location:
Terraroc Finland Oy
Kolmenkulmantie 18
33430 Ylöjärvi, Finland
The monthly salary range is approximately 4,500–5,200 EUR. We are open to discussing the level based on your background, experience, and overall profile, and we are happy to have an open conversation about compensation expectations.
Why to join us?
You will join an international company with strong roots in engineering excellence and a clear growth ambition. TerraRoc combines global reach with a local, hands on way of working, offering a role where your contribution has visible impact on daily operations and business decisions.
This role offers broad responsibility and real ownership. As the only finance professional on site, you will work close to the business, influence processes, and help shape the local finance function as the organization continues to develop. Decision making stays close, and your input matters.
You will operate in a dynamic environment where no two days look the same. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and continuous development rather than rigid routines. You will collaborate with international colleagues while remaining firmly embedded in the local organization.
TerraRoc offers the opportunity to grow professionally together with a company that continues to expand globally. You do not need to be ready in every area from day one. The company values the right mindset, ownership, and the willingness to learn and develop over time.
