VividWorks - COO
3D Visual Configuration & CPQ Platform for Custom Products.
Founded in 2006, VividWorks has quickly established itself as a leader in the field of 3D visualization and configuration technology. VividWorks is headquartered in Oulu, Finland, with a secondary office located in Helsinki. Additionally, the company has established partnerships in Tokyo, Japan, and Italy.
At the heart of VividWorks' offerings is its powerful 3D configuration platform, which allows customers to customize and visualize products in real-time.
Whether it's designing a custom kitchen layout, configuring furniture pieces, or visualizing interior design concepts, VividWorks' technology provides an intuitive and immersive experience that drives customer engagement and satisfaction.
Business Context & Strategy
Vividworks operates in an attractive and expanding market, where demand for configurable 3D commerce solutions continues to grow. Over the past two years, the company has achieved record-level new customer acquisition, demonstrating strong market traction and the effectiveness of its go-to-market model.
While demand is strong, the next key thing is to ensure that this growth translates into sustainable recurring revenue through higher net revenue retention (NRR) and lower churn.
The current business model combines SaaS subscriptions (~60–65% of revenue) with Professional Services (~35–40%). Professional Services side encompasses implementation projects, integrations, and ongoing continuous services for some of the key customers. The future focus is on improving profitability, predictability, and utilization – while continuing to deliver high‑quality, timely implementations that support customer success.
Operationally, the company is lean but ambitious. The Board’s focus is on scaling revenue and optimizing efficiency while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction. The strategic goal for the coming 24 months is to build a predictable, metrics‑driven operating model that supports global scalability.
Culturally, Vividworks is a flat, transparent, and hands‑on organization. Decision‑making is fast, collaboration is close, and leadership is visible. The working style suits individuals who enjoy autonomy, accountability, and tangible results – leaders who combine commercial acumen, international business and customer orientated mindset.
Chief Operating Officer role
Chief Operating Officer is a pivotal member of the VividWorks' leadership team, responsible for transforming operational performance and customer lifecycle management across VividWorks. This is both a strategic and executional role – one that connects customer success, project delivery, and recurring revenue growth under one leadership umbrella.
The COO will own the entire post‑sales customer journey: on boarding, implementation, adoption, retention, and renewal. Chief Operating Officer carries full P&L accountability for the “existing business”, which includes both SaaS and Professional Services.
Chief Operating Officer will lead the Professional Services organization, strengthen Customer Success practices, and establish a culture of operational excellence throughout the company.
This person will also act as a bridge between Product, Sales, and Services, ensuring seamless handovers, accurate scoping (SOW), and continuous feedback from the field into the product roadmap. By creating clarity in ownership and measurable accountability, the COO will help the company mature from successful project delivery to a predictable, scalable SaaS operation.
The COO reports directly to the CEO and joins the Executive Leadership Team alongside the CEO and Chief Product Officer.
The COO will initially lead a team of around 10 people, including consultants, project managers, and support specialists, and will shape the long‑term operating model and leadership bench for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
The COO will have broad and business‑critical responsibilities across operations, revenue management, and leadership.
Key focus areas include:
Revenue & Retention
- Achieve and sustain >100% NRR across the SaaS base.

- Actively manage churn through customer value realization and proactive engagement.
Professional Services & Delivery Excellence
- Oversee implementation projects – from scope and budget to delivery and quality.
- Improve project forecasting, margin visibility, and utilization.
- Build standardized delivery models and reusable implementation assets.
- Balance customization with scalability to protect long‑term profitability.
Customer Success & Key Accounts
- Develop structured Customer Success and Key Account Management practices.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and proactive relationship management.
- Engage as an executive sponsor with top clients, fostering trust and partnership.
Operational Efficiency & Forecasting
- Lead company‑wide forecasting for SaaS and Services revenues.
- measure and develop KPIs such as NRR, churn, utilization, gross margin, and cash impact.
- Ensure predictable planning cycles and capacity allocation across projects.
Leadership & Culture
- Build a high‑performing, motivated team with clear accountability.
- Foster a customer‑centric culture and operational discipline.
- Be a visible, hands‑on leader with the energy and confidence to drive change.

A background in Professional Services – particularly in contexts involving complex implementations or customized delivery – is highly valued. The COO will operate where scalable software meets tailored enterprise projects in a global setting.
Carrying full P&L ownership for the existing business, the COO combines strategic acumen with financial and operational discipline. The right person connects daily execution with both top-line and bottom-line performance, and is comfortable owning budgets, forecasts, and outcomes.
