to join our Product & Design team in Vantaa, Finland.

About the role:
As a Senior Signal Processing Engineer, you will join our multidisciplinary team developing next-generation underwater communication devices. You will be working at the heart of the system, making sure that information can travel reliably through one of the toughest environments possible: water.
Depending on your background and interest, you can join us as a hands-on Signal Processing Engineer or step up to a even more demanding role as a Technical Lead guiding the whole development team.
Key specifications for the role:
In this role the person is designing and implementing algorithms for modulation, demodulation and error correction. The work consists of simulating and testing different approaches to handle underwater channel challenges like multipath and attenuation. You'll be working closely with a skilled team of hardware, mechanical, and software engineers selecting components, building and testing prototypes in iterative manner.
You should have the following qualifications and skills:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Signal Processing, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Robotics, or a related field
3-5+ years of experience in embedded algorithm design, signal processing, RF design, or acoustic design
Solid background in wireless communication theory and digital signal processing (DSP)
Programming skills in and familiarity with simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB)
Embedded C/C++ skills
Experience developing or optimizing communication systems (RF, telecom, DSP)
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude
Proficiency in English
Considered an asset:
Knowledge of acoustic simulations, underwater acoustics, ultrasound or embedded DSPs.
(Analog) electronic design skills
Experience in cross-cultural collaboration
Proficiency in Finnish
