HR Leader

Parker Hannifin is now seeking an HR Leader for its Urjala manufacturing site in a part-time (60%), one-year fixed-term role covering a maternity leave. In this position, you will have real responsibility, strong visibility and the opportunity to influence people, leadership and culture in a continuously developing business. The role offers valuable exposure to both site-level operations and international HR collaboration, making it an excellent career step for an HR professional ready to grow into a leadership role.
Main responsibilities
As an HR Leader you will have a great opportunity to jump into Parker Hannifin's EMEA team while you act as the primary HR partner for the Urjala site. You are also part of the local leadership team.
Your role is to ensure that people processes are well executed, employees are supported, and leaders are equipped to lead effectively. You will collaborate closely with site management and play a key role in driving safety, engagement and strong employee relations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Promoting a strong “Safety First” culture and supporting on-site safety initiatives.
- Providing clear guidance to managers on HR policies such as attendance and performance management.
- Maintaining constructive and positive cooperation with trade union representatives.
- Ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies to foster good employee relations.
- Managing recruitment and onboarding for permanent, temporary and agency employees, including job specifications and salary discussions.
- Coordinating employee training and development with managers and monitoring the effectiveness of training activities.
- Ensuring timely completion of performance discussions and development reviews.
- Supporting succession planning and talent development at the site.
- Driving employee engagement through surveys, team initiatives and other local activities.

We value the following qualities and experience:
Optimal background is an HR Generalist with few years of experience in HR operations, willing to take the next step in your career towards a HR leadership role.
Ideally you have experience from the manufacturing environment or other industry related to the business of Parker Hannifin.
You have knowledge of Finnish employment laws and experience from working with collective agreements.
Experience from international environment (working or studying abroad is a plus).
You are able to see the possibilities that lie in changes and developments that are the normal state of the operating environment.
You are resilient and able to work independently.
You are open to learning and tackling new challenges.
You are comfortable with combining the hands-on operational part and routines with the leadership point of view of the job.
You communicate fluently in both Finnish and English.
You have strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
Also you are handy with computers and systems (Office environment + other systems).

Base salary is based on your experience and the final sum will be negotiated with Parker Hannifin being in the annual range of 36 000 - 39 000 as the salary is adjusted to the 60 % working time. On top of that you will be a part of Parker Hannifin's annual incentive program (goal 12,5% of your annual salary).
