We are now looking for a Hybrid Cloud Solutions Architect to join us in building the future of UPM Plywood. The position is based in Finland, and the exact location is negotiable.
About the role
This position is designed to strengthen the organization and enable future opportunities for the business. This role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with high impact and visibility across the business, driving innovation and scalability in hybrid cloud solutions during a period of strategic change.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Infrastructure and collaborate closely with colleagues across the infrastructure organization, including Network Architecture, Site Management, Collaboration Services, and End User Services (EUS). In addition, you will operate in a multi-vendor environment, working closely with external partners and service providers, while also collaborating cross-functionally across the entire IT organization — particularly with the Application team, including SAP and integration specialists.
What you will do
Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and cost-effective hybrid cloud solutions
Develop and maintain the company’s evolving hybrid cloud architecture strategy and roadmap
Oversee the implementation of hybrid cloud infrastructure and services
Ensure hybrid cloud solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements
Lead FinOps activities, including tagging hygiene, commitments, and rightsizing
Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with organizational goals, strategy and enterprise target architecture
Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, tools, and best practices
Lead both RUN and BUILD work for cloud environments
Who you are
Education & Expertise: Proven experience in designing and managing cloud architectures (e.g., Azure)
Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and automation
Experience: Cloud migration and hybrid cloud environments, IT contract and supplier management
Competencies: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Architect) preferred
Additional Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance requirements
